Instead, Shebag sources full-grain calfskin that comes closest to the original quality, selecting hides with nearly identical pores, thickness, softness and resilience.

Étoupe is a sophisticated blend of grey and brown, exuding understated elegance. The workshop’s dye specialists conduct spectral analysis on authentic leather and fine-tune custom dyes repeatedly to ensure the “grey-with-brown undertones” hue matches the original under all lighting conditions. This is one of the most complex and demanding stages in the entire reproduction process.

Togo leather features a distinctive coarse, natural grain with a subtle waxy finish. Using precision physical embossing technology, Shebag reproduces the irregular, natural texture of genuine Togo, avoiding the stiff, overly uniform machine-embossed patterns typical of low-grade replicas.

Shebag purchases an authentic Lindy 26 and completely disassembles it for reverse engineering, capturing the exact pattern data of every component, as well as the position and thickness of all internal supporting materials including linings and gaskets.

The essence of the Lindy lies in its natural, relaxed slouch when worn.
